About the Project
Events in the county used to be scattered across the websites and pages of each institution. ilovesm.ro collects them automatically, organises them by date, category, town and audience, and makes them easy for anyone to find, including Hungarian speakers and tourists.
The interface is designed for mobile first: the clip bar at the top, the fixed navigation at the bottom and the quick search take visitors straight to what they are looking for.
Technologies Used
- Custom PHP platform with scheduled automatic imports
- Frontend with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap
- PWA with a manifest and service worker
- Public REST API with filtering and pagination
- Multilingual SEO with hreflang and Schema.org structured data
- Images in WebP
Results
ilovesm.ro has become the cultural calendar of Satu Mare County: events from across the county, the full cinema schedule and open data anyone can use, all updated without manual work.
