Formland - Online Store for Scandinavian-Design Furniture
Formland brings Nordic furniture closer to Romanian homes: solid oak tables, chairs, storage, lighting, rugs and accessories. We built an online store where customers choose not just a product but also its material, finish and dimensions, and can pick up their order for free at partner stores.
Key Features
- Product configurator - for each piece, customers choose the top material, thickness, finish colour, size, frame and height in turn, with the price updated at every step
- Catalogue organised by category and collection - dining, coffee, extendable and bar tables, chairs, sideboards, chests of drawers, display cabinets, pendant lights, floor lamps, rugs and accessories, plus the Selva, Arnum and Berg Star collections
- Store network - a "Find a store" page with locations in Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Sibiu and Debrecen, where orders can be collected for free
- Section for professionals - design service, completed projects and custom pieces for architects and interior designers
- Flexible payment - card, cash on delivery or bank transfer, in two currencies
- Newsletter with a voucher - subscribers get 5% off their first order
- Customer account and favourites - order history and saved products
- Tips and inspiration - articles on choosing and caring for oak furniture
About the Project
Formland furniture is made to order, so the store had to show clearly what customers can customise and what they will receive. The configurator guides them through each choice, and the product page shows the estimated delivery time, the shipping cost and the return terms.
The design follows the style of the products: elegant serif typography, plenty of white space and large interior photos, for a calm experience close to that of a showroom.
Technologies Used
- Custom e-commerce platform built in PHP
